Before I became a life and business coach or began spiritual guide work, I was a stay-at-home mom of my two beautiful girls. And before that, I was a big-law litigator and former prosecutor. Needless to say, as a graduate of Yale University and the University of Virginia School of Law, I mean it when I say I know what it feels like to get stuck into someone else’s definition of success.
Most of my life was spent doing the next “right” thing. But then I hit a point when “right” wasn’t enough anymore. I wanted more. Not more money or more fame or more prestige. But that intangible more. More joy. More laughter. More connection. More meaning. And I’ve been working on building a life that truly matters to me ever since.
Of course, that doesn’t mean I get it right all the time! If you’re friends with me on Facebook or have listened to any of my podcasts, you’ll know that I makes mistakes just like everybody else. But I keep going. I keep learning. I keep facing my fears with humility and compassion and curiosity and redefining success along the way. Most importantly, I have learned to nurture and trust the soft still voice inside of me that aligns me not only with who I am, but with who I’m being called to become. And I’ve mastered the art of walking with people as they do the same.
